Recruiting: Breakdown On 2015 PG Corey Sanders Committing To Rutgers

Score one for the Scarlet Knights, as Eddie Jordan gets the ball rolling for 2015 with a top 100 point guard.

On Thursday, Rutgers fans received great news, and in an interesting manner.  Corey Sanders, a 2015 point guard from Brandenton, Florida, posted the first in an online web series called "#Decisions."  Sanders announces his commitment early in the video:

Sanders is ranked as the no. 67 prospect (no. 9 PG) in the country, per the 247Sports Composite.

Back in September of 2013, Sanders committed to UCF, but national interest in the 6'1" guard began to pick up, and Sanders decommitted from the Knights a month later.  Since then, he has been fairly quiet on the recruiting front, but the Scarlet Knights jumped into the race and had Sanders in for a visit a month ago.

As you might pick up from "#Decisions" episode 1, Sanders is an enthusiastic character, and it shows in his game.  Whether he's dribbling, passing, shooting, or flying in for a dunk, Sanders is ridiculously passionate, and that on its own could immediately make him a player to watch in the Big Ten.

As of now, it appears that Sanders is the only commit in Rutgers' 2015 class, after SF Austin Burnette decommitted in July.  But today's news could add excitement around Eddie Jordan's program and draw in more talent.

We'll have more in the coming days on how this affects Rutgers' recruiting efforts moving forward.
