Recruiting - Nebrasketball Extends Another 2015 Offer

Nebrasketball extended an offer to a 2015 Shooting Guard last week.

Tom Pennington

The Cornhuskers have offered Shooting Guard Landry Shamet of Kansas City, MO. Shamet is 6'4", 180 pounds and has offers from Colorado, Creighton, Drake, Northern Iowa, Stephen F. Austin, Wichita State, and Memphis, in addition to Nebraska. He is not yet rated in the 247Sports Composite Index and the only prediction in the Crystal Ball has him going to Creighton. However, Nebraska instantly becomes his best offer although Memphis would likely argue that to a point. Both schools are just recently getting involved with Shamet:

Shamet has really shined this AAU season, and there is no question that other schools are going to start to get involved with him. Here is some recent video showing Shamet's abilities to shoot the ball as well as take guys off the dribble and get to the rim:

While not rated at this point, Shamet would be a very nice get for the up and coming Cornhuskers. The question is will they be able to hold off some other high major programs that will likely get involved in the coming months.
