The Buckeyes had a big visitor on campus this weekend in Braxton Blackwell and he seemed to enjoy it. He called the visit "great" and "awesome." Blackwell is a 5-star recruit according to 247Sports and is the #2 player in Tennessee.
One of the top guards in the 2016 recruiting class and the top player from the state of Georgia had big things to say about his visit to Ohio State last weekend and called it "amazing." Perhaps this is a sign of things to come for Simmons and the Buckeyes.
The big recent news for the Spartans was the commitment of Matthew McQuaid. He is considered to be one of the top shooters in the 2015 class and should have a tremendous impact in East Lansing. You can check out his video here.
Jeff Boals was present to check out 2017 recruit Gary Trent, Jr. recently. Trent is rated as a 4-star recruit by 247Sports and is considered to be heavily considering the Buckeyes. Trent has already been offered by Minnesota, Providence, and Texas Tech.
There is new video out on 2015 Ohio State commit Mickey Mitchell. Mitchell is rated as a 4-star recruit and as the #10 player in the state of Texas.
The Hawkeyes landed a big commitment from Wagner earlier on in the cycle, but it looks like they're not only going to have to battle to keep Wagner away from other basketball programs, but also football programs. Wagner is emerging as a talented wide receiver and is getting attention from some Power 5 football programs.
The Wolverines went to check in on a 2016 recruit recently. Ivanauskas was seen by Michigan Assistant Coach LaVall Jordan. Michigan is looking at Ivanauskas as a wing. Other schools pursuing Ivanauskas include Iowa and Northwestern.
One of the top early targets has become Jaren Jackson out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Jackson is already being targeted by major schools including Indiana, Michigan, MSU, UCLA, and Vanderbilt.

The Wolverines were present to check out Frankie Hughes from Garfield Heights, Ohio. Hughes is also being targeted by Akron, Cleveland State, Dayton, Kent State, and Miami (OH).
