According to a release from Northwestern, the program announced that it would not be accepting a postseason bid, which likely would have been for the CBI or CIT. The Wildcats finished the 2015-16 season at 20-12 overall after falling to Michigan by a 72-70 final score in overtime in the Big Ten Tournament. Highlights of the season included a sweep of Nebraska and a home win over Wisconsin. This means that Tre Demps and Alex Olah have concluded their careers at Northwestern.

The Nittany Lions fnished the 2015-16 season with a 16-16 record after failing to Ohio State, 79-75 in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday night. Highlights of the season included wins over Indiana, Iowa, and Northwestern. This means that Jordan Dickerson, Donovon Jack, and Brandon Taylor have concluded their careers at Penn State.

According to a release from Nebraska, head coach Tim Miles announced that the program would not be accepting a postseason bid, which likely would have been for the CBI or CIT. The Huskers finished the 2015-16 season with a 16-18 record after falling to No. 18 Maryland, 97-86 on Friday night. Highlights of the season included wins over Michigan State, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament. Next year's team will return the vast majority of the team's contributors, although Benny Parker and Shavon Shields will be graduating.

Michigan Will Not Accept 2015 CBI Bid

According to John Beilein, Michigan will not be accepting a bid to this year's CBI. As a result, this will mean that Michigan's season will end with its loss to Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament. The Wolverines went 16-16 overall on the year and have the potential to return every player on its roster for next season.

According to various reports, Minnesota will not be accepting a bid to this year's CBI. As a result, this will mean that Minnesota's season will end with its loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals. Minnesota went 18-15 on the season and 6-12 in the Big Ten regular season.

Due to this, it likely means that Northwestern's season is over considering they are highly unlikely to make the either or the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. Northwestern will end the season with a 15-17 overall record after losing to Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament.

Recently, it was announced that the NCAA would be utilizing a 30 second shot clock and a larger restricted zone in the 2015 postseason CIT and NIT to see its impact on the game and potentially change rules for the future. According to a new report, the 30 second shot clock will also be utilized in the 2015 CBI. The Big Ten is currently projected to send Northwestern and Penn State to this year's CBI.
