Earlier this week, the Penn State Nittany Lions got some exciting news as 2022 center Demetrius Lilley announced his commitment to the program. This is an exciting development as new head coach Micah Shrewsberry looks to fill out Penn State’s roster heading into his first season.

Lilley is listed as 6-foot-10 and 230 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Ardmore, Pennsylvania. He is rated as a three-star prospect and the seventh-best player in the State of Pennsylvania by 247Sports. Along with Penn State, he also had offers from Bryant, East Carolina, La Salle, and Saint Joseph’s among others.
Given the massive roster turnover for Penn State the last few years, it’s difficult to project where Lilley could fit in for the Nittany Lions in the fall of 2022. This year will be a “new look” team with plenty of new faces and that will likely continue moving forward.
Shrewsberry and his staff still have their work cut out this offseason, but Nittany Lion fans have to be excited about bringing Lilley into the fold.
