Earlier this month, the Ohio State Buckeyes put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Chris Holtmann and his staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Matas Buzelis.

Buzelis comes out of Willowbrook, Illinois and is currently rated as a four-star prospect and one of the best small forwards in the 2023 class by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-10 and 175 pounds and as a rising player on the cycle. Along with Ohio State, he also has attention from numerous other programs, including Arizona, DePaul, Florida State, Illinois, and Nebraska among others.
Ohio State currently has no commitments in the program’s 2023 recruiting class, though that isn’t surprising given the timeline of most 2023 recruits and some of the changes in the transfer market. But fans will hope the Buckeyes can get things started with a commitment from Buzelis. However, we will have to wait and see as it’s still very much in the air. He currently has no Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports.
