On Monday, the Northwestern Wildcats got some exciting news as 2022 prospect Rowan Brumbaugh announced he would be committing to the program. He’s becoming one of the top targets in the cycle for the Big Ten and should provide a big boost for the Wildcats as the program looks to get back on track with Chris Collins.
ROWAN BRUMBAUGH COMMITMENT!

The four-star guard announces where he will be heading to college. Kansas, Texas, Maryland, Oregon, Miami or Northwestern? https://t.co/CMQlQXmHNM
Brumbaugh comes out of Northfield, Massachusetts and is currently rated as a four-star prospect and the second-best player in the State of Maryland by 247Sports. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds by 247Sports. Along with Northwestern, he also had offers from George Washington, Georgetown, Maryland, Princeton, Richmond, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin among others.
While Brumbaugh is the first commitment in Northwestern’s 2022 recruiting class, expect things to build from there. Collins has done a nice job of landing talent since he joined the program and it doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. Of course, with how the recruiting cycle typically works, we’re still likely a decent while away from seeing how the 2022 group will look for the Wildcats.
Collins and his staff are certainly going to be active on the recruiting trail moving forward, but fans have to be thrilled with this addition.
