Earlier this week, Indiana fans got some exciting news as 2022 prospect Jalen Hood-Schifino announced that he would be committing to the Indiana Hoosiers. This is certainly exciting news for Mike Woodson and his staff.

Hood-Schifino comes out of Montverde, Florida and is currently rated as a five-star prospect and the fifth-best combo guard in the 2020 recruiting class by 247Sports. He is currently listed at 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds by the recruiting site. Along with Indiana, he had offers from Arizona State, Charlotte, Clemson, and Pittsburgh among others.

There’s little debating Hood-Schifino has a polished game that could make quite an impact on the next level. He has impressive court vision and does a nice job of looking for the open man in traffic, which should be a welcome boost for the Hoosiers. Fans will hope he continues to expand his game on the defensive side and in finishing in the lane.

With his addition, Indiana’s 2022 recruiting class is now ranked fifth nationally. Hood-Schifino joins Kaleb Banks and CJ Gunn in the class. Fans have to be excited about how the class could look in the months ahead.
