Late last month, the Maryland Terrapins put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Mark Turgeon and his staff decided to offer 2022 prospect TJ Caldwell.
The #Terps recently extended an offer to '22 @DrivenationEYBL G TJ Caldwell (@TjCaldwell9). I spoke w/ him about the offer, other schools involved and his game. (VIP) @Jeff_Ermann https://t.co/pM8D7Fu4V9

Caldwell comes out of DeSoto, Texas and is currently rated as a three-star prospect and a top 20 player in the state by 247Sports. He is listed at 6-foot-4 and 170 pounds by 247Sports. Along with Maryland, he also has offers from Arizona State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and USC among others.
Maryland currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class, but it’s obviously still pretty early. Fans will be hoping Turgeon and his staff can get started with a commitment from Caldwell. And with a few productive seasons in a row, it seems like momentum will be on their side. However, there’s still a long way to go as he’s a 2022 prospect. Fans will have to stay tuned.
