Late last month, the Maryland Terrapins put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Mark Turgeon and his staff decided to offer 2022 prospect Reed Bailey.

Bailey comes out of Groton, Massachusetts and is rated as a three-star prospect and the third-best player in the state by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-9 and 190 pounds and as a player starting to get some serious attention. Along with Maryland, he also has an offer from Boston College, Iowa, Loyola (Chicago), and Penn State among others.
Maryland currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class after three-star prospect Paul Lewis recently decommitted. As such, fans will be hoping Bailey can turn things around and get things going for Maryland in the cycle. However, there’s still a long way to go as he’s a 2022 prospect and currently has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports. It should be interesting to follow in the months to come.
