Late last month, the Indiana Hoosiers put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Mike Woodson and his new staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Owen Freeman.
After a great visit with Coach Woodson, Coach Fife, Coach Walsh, and the coaching staff, I am blessed to announce that I have received an offer from Indiana University! #Gohoosiers pic.twitter.com/Lxr4MPuQ3w

Freeman comes out of Bradley, Illinois and is largely unrated by the national scouting services. However, he is attracting some serious midwestern attention and is listed at 6-foot-9 and 220 pounds by 247Sports. Along with Indiana, he also has offers from Butler, Illinois, Iowa, Marquette, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, and Wisconsin among others.
Indiana currently has no commitments in its 2023 recruiting class, which isn’t a surprise given the program’s recent coaching turnover. However, fans will hope Freeman can change that soon with a commitment. That would continue a recent hot streak for the Hoosiers on the recruiting trail and hopefully build off the recent Woodson hire. Of course, we will have to wait and see if that ends up happening. Freeman currently has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports.
