The Michigan State Spartans put out an important offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle this week. Tom Izzo and his staff offered 2022 power forward Braden Huff.
Beyond grateful to have received an offer from Michigan State University. I’d like to thank Coach Izzo, Coach Wojcik, and the rest of the staff for this opportunity. @WolvesILL @JasonOpoka pic.twitter.com/Wn5ljKydlt

Huff comes out of Glenbard West High School in Carol Stream, Illinois. 247Sports has him ranked as a four-star prospect at power forward, the No. 98 player in the nation, No. 15 power forward, and the No. 2 player in Illinois for the 2022 class. He is listed at 6-foot-9 and 205-pounds.
The Spartans face stiff competition for Huff, however, including from fellow Big Ten programs. Huff is a top target for Illinois and has one crystal ball prediction, though ranked medium, for Wisconsin. He also hosts offers in the Big Ten from Northwestern, Iowa, and Minnesota. Huff hosts offers outside the conference form Virginia Tech, Creighton, DePaul, and Vanderbilt as well.
Huff marks 11 total offers for the 2022 class, though the Spartans do not currently feature any players verbally committed at this time.
