Late last month, the Michigan State Spartans put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Tom Izzo and his staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Owen Freeman.
After a great visit with Coach Izzo, Coach Wojcik, Coach Montgomery, and the coaching staff, I am blessed to announce that I have received an offer from Michigan St. University! #gospartans pic.twitter.com/AOdBB8WeHe— Owen Freeman (@_OwenFreeman) June 29, 2021
Freeman comes out of Bradley, Illinois and is largely unrated by the national scouting services. However, he is attracting some serious midwestern attention and is listed at 6-foot-9 and 220 pounds by 247Sports. Along with Michigan State, he also has offers from Butler, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Marquette, Ohio State, Purdue, and Wisconsin among others.
Michigan State currently has no commitments in the program’s 2023 recruiting class, but the Spartans have recruited well in recent years and things are still early in the cycle. Fans will be hoping Freeman can be the first addition in the 2023 cycle. However, we will have to wait and see as his recruitment is still very much in the air. Izzo and his staff will have to put in some work.
