Earlier this month, the Minnesota Golden Gophers put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle to 2022 prospect Brian Knight. This figures to be a key recruiting cycle for new head coach Ben Johnson and his staff.
"Up and Coming Guard Brian "BB" Knight Talks Gopher Offer"

Minnesota has identified Brian "BB" Knight of Katy, Texas, a 6-foot-5 2022 shooting guard as a key target. @Minnesota247 spoke with @BrianBBKnightl1 this week.https://t.co/zipi7B9VeN
Knight comes out of Katy, Texas and is currently unrated by 247Sports. The recruiting site lists him at 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds and he seems to be a player on the rise. Along with Minnesota, he also has offers from schools including Illinois, Iona, Louisiana Tech, and LSU among others.
Minnesota currently has no commitments in its 2022 recruiting class, but don’t expect it to stay that way for too long. Johnson and staff have been really active so far and it seems reasonable to think they’ll try to make a splash there. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see as there’s still plenty of time left ahead of him. It should be interesting to watch his recruitment in the coming years.
