Penn State Offers 2023 Three-Star Combo Guard Lawrent Rice

The Nittany Lions have put out a new offer in the 2023 cycle.

Earlier this month, the Penn State Nittany Lions put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. New Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry and his new staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Lawrent Rice.

Rice comes out of Dayton, Ohio and is currently rated as a three-star prospect and the third-best player in the state by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-3 and 170 pounds and identifies him as one of the rising players on the 2023 cycle. Along with Penn State, he also has offers from schools including Kansas State, Louisville, Ohio State, Purdue, and West Virginia among others.

Penn State currently has no commitments in its 2023 recruiting class, which isn’t surprising given the timing of the recruiting cycle and the program’s recent coaching transition. But fans will hope Shrewsberry and staff can add to that haul with Rice in the months to come. Of course, we will have to wait and see if that ends up happening as there’s still quite some time before Rice has to make his decision.
