Earlier this month, the Penn State Nittany Lions put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. New Head Coach Micah Shrewsberry and his new staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Jacoi Hutchinson.

Hutchinson comes out of Hyattsville, Maryland and is rated as a four-star prospect and the third-best player in the state by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him as 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds and it appears he’s a player on the rise. Along with Penn State, he also has offers from Bryant, LSU, Maryland, and St. Joseph’s among others.
Penn State currently has no commitments in its 2023 recruiting class, but it’s still early, especially with a brand new coaching staff. Nonetheless, fans will hope that changes in the coming months and Hutchinson can be the first player to pull the plug. Of course, we will have to wait and see if that ends up happening as there’s still quite some time before Hutchinson has to make his decision.
