Earlier this month, the Minnesota Golden Gophers put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle to 2022 prospect Dominick Campbell. This figures to be a key recruiting cycle for new head coach Ben Johnson and his staff.
Very blessed and honored to have received an offer from Minnesota!! Thank you Coach Johnson and Coach Kemp for this opportunity!! #GoGoldenGophers https://t.co/9gOBVa1gmC

Campbell comes out of Portland, Maine and is currently unrated by 247Sports. However, he’s starting to get some serious attention from a number of high profile programs. Verbal Commits lists Campbell at 6-foot-8 and 235 pounds. Along with Minnesota, he also has offers from Penn State, Stanford, VCU, and Virginia Tech among others.
Minnesota currently has no commitments in its 2022 recruiting class, but don’t expect it to stay that way for too long. Johnson and staff have been really active so far and it seems reasonable to think they’ll try to make a splash there. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if Campbell is part of that movement as there’s still plenty of time left ahead of him. It should be interesting to watch his recruitment in the coming years.
