Earlier this month, the Minnesota Golden Gophers put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle to 2022 prospect Danny Wolf. This figures to be a key recruiting cycle for new head coach Ben Johnson and his staff.
After a great zoom with the coaching staff, I am grateful to have received an offer from HC Johnson and the University of Minnesota! Go Gophers #big10 pic.twitter.com/pm3t8wKGi6

Wolf comes out of Northfield, Massachusetts and is currently unrated by 247Sports. However, he’s starting to get some serious attention from a number of high profile programs. The recruiting site lists Wolf at 6-foot-10 and 220 pounds. Along with Minnesota, he also has offers from Albany, Chicago State, and Toledo among others.
Minnesota currently has no commitments in its 2022 recruiting class, but don’t expect it to stay that way for too long. Johnson and staff have been really active so far and it seems reasonable to think they’ll try to make a splash there. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see as there’s still plenty of time left ahead of him. It should be interesting to watch his recruitment in the coming years.
