Penn State Nittany Lions Offer Illinois State Transfer Dušan Mahorčič

The Nittany Lions have put out a new offer.

Earlier this month, the Penn State Nittany Lions put out a key offer to Illinois State transfer Dušan Mahorčič. He figures to be a marquee prospect for new head coach Micah Shrewsberry and his staff.

Mahorčič will enter next fall with senior status after playing three seasons at three different schools. He played his freshman year at Lewis, played in community college after that, and finished at Illinois State last season. With the Redbirds, he averaged 24.4 minutes, 9.9 points, and 7.2 rebounds per game. Along with Penn State, he’s also seriously considering BYU, Clemson, Florida, Texas, and Virginia Tech.

Given Penn State’s massive roster upheaval this offseason, it’s hard to project how Mahorčič might fit in next season. His 6-foot-10 size will let him play upfront with John Harrar, but the rest of the frontcourt is pretty uncertain. We’ll have to stay tuned and see how it sorts out.
