Illinois Fighting Illini Offer 2023 Point Guard Chuck Bailey III

Earlier this month, the Illinois Fighting Illini put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Brad Underwood and his staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Chuck Bailey III.

Bailey comes out of Detroit, Michigan and is currently unrated by most of the national scouting services. He is listed at 6-foot-3 by Verbal Commits and also currently has offers from Detroit, Kansas, Loyola (Marymount), Ole Miss, and UNLV among others.

A film review of Bailey shows his game relies extensively on his handle and his ability to attack with the ball in his hands. There’s still room for growth on the defensive end of the floor and from outside, but he’s still really early in his career and has plenty of potential.

Illinois currently has no commitments in its 2023 recruiting class, though it’s obviously still very early. However, fans will certainly hope Bailey can get things going with a big commitment. We will have to wait and see.
