Earlier this month the Illinois Fighting Illini got some great news as 2022 prospect AJ Storr committed to the program. He joins what could be a really intriguing class for Brad Underwood and his staff as Illinois hopes to follow up a great 2020-’21 season.

Storr comes out of Las Vegas, Nevada and is rated as the top player in the state and a three-star prospect by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-5 and 180 pounds. Along with Illinois, he also has offers from Austin Peay, Chicago State, Iona, IUPUI, Ole Miss, and Virginia Tech among others.
He becomes the second commitment in Illinois’ 2022 recruiting class, joining three-star shooting guard Reggie Bass. However, there’s still plenty of time left, so we’ll have to wait and see how the class looks when it’s finalized. Fans will certainly be excited to bring Storr into the fold, especially if more prospects follow in the weeks and months ahead.
