The Badgers got some disappointing news this week as fans learned forward Nate Reuvers would be entering the transfer portal. Reuvers was one of the team’s most important players this season and over the last few years. His departure would certainly leave a mark on a program hoping to continue its recent success.
Wisconsin forward Nate Reuvers has entered the transfer portal, source told ESPN. Averaged 8.3 points this season, 13.1 points as a junior.

Reuvers was a consistent contributor for the Badgers over the last few seasons. He played in 124 games during his career with Wisconsin and averaged 8.7 points and 3.5 rebounds during his career. Notably, Wisconsin was an NCAA Tournament caliber team in three of his four seasons in Madison, including a Big Ten regular season title last year.
Fortunately for Badger fans, Reuvers’ departure was expected. He was a senior this year, so it’s hard to say this decision was completely unexpected. We’ll have to stay tuned to see how things sort out and whether the program might look into the transfer portal itself to replace Reuvers.
