After putting together a solid season, the Wisconsin Badgers have earned their spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and March Madness. The team has been slotted as a nine seed in the South Region.
Wisconsin will open up NCAA Tournament play this weekend against North Carolina. It figures to be a pretty challenging matchup, especially with the improved play of the Tar Heels in recent weeks. However, things figure to get significantly tougher afterward with one seed Baylor likely waiting in the Round of 32. Other notable teams in the region include Ohio State, Arkansas, and Purdue.
It’s been a frustrating season for the Badgers to date. The team has been good, but the team is just 17-12 thanks to a brutally difficult schedule. We’ll see if Wisconsin can deliver now that it gets to avoid playing Big Ten foes. It should be interesting to watch.
