Maryland Terrapins Earn 10 Seed In The 2021 NCAA Tournament

After putting together an impressive season, the Maryland Terrapins have earned their spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and March Madness. The team has been slotted as a 10 seed in the East Region.

Maryland will open up NCAA Tournament this weekend against UConn. It figures to be a challenging matchup. The Huskies are 16th nationally on KenPom and enter the Tournament as a seven seed. Should the Terps make it past UConn, the team would be looking at another challenging game against either Alabama or Iona. Other notable teams in the region include Michigan, Florida State, Texas, and BYU.

It’s hard to complain much about this landing spot for the Terps. While UConn is probably tougher than your average seven seed, Maryland could have easily ended up in the “First Four,” so avoiding that possibility is certainly a bonus.

BTPowerhouse will have plenty to follow on this and all of the Big Ten teams in the NCAA Tournament in the days ahead.
