After putting together an impressive season, the Iowa Hawkeyes have earned their spot in the 2021 NCAA Tournament and March Madness. The team has been slotted as a two seed in the West Region.
Iowa will open up NCAA Tournament this weekend against Grand Canyon. It figures to be a pretty manageable matchup. However, things figure to get significantly tougher afterward with Oregon or VCU waiting in the Round of 32. Other notable teams in the region include Gonzaga, Kansas, Virginia, and Creighton.
While Hawkeye fans were hoping for more than a two seed when the season began, it’s hard to complain about getting one of the top eight spots in the NCAA Tournament. BTPowerhouse will have plenty to follow on this and all of the Big Ten teams in the NCAA Tournament in the days ahead.
