The Big Ten released its weekly award winners for week six of the regular season and two teams split the awards. Minnesota’s Liam Robbins was named Big Ten Player of the Week and Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Robbins had a remarkable performance this week. The Gopher big man averaged 19.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in Minnesota’s three games last week. Robbins was particularly impressive in the win over Ohio State on Sunday, finishing with 27 points and 14 rebounds in a career night. This is the first time Robbins has earned Big Ten Player of the Year honors since arriving at Minnesota.

Meanwhile, Dickinson also had a big week. He averaged 22.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in wins over Maryland and Northwestern, including a double-double in the win over the Terps with 26 points and 11 rebounds. This is the already the fourth time Dickinson has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week during his career. However, it doesn’t seem like it will be the last.

Congratulations are in order for both players. Don’t be surprised if these two show back up on this list given how they have played to date.
