Six Big Ten Teams Land In Week 10 Polls

See where the Big Ten landed in the latest rankings.

The AP and USA Today Coaches’ polls released earlier this week for Week 10 of the season and six Big Ten teams were fortunate enough to make the cut. It’s an impressive achievement for the league and that’s not even to mention two other Big Ten teams who narrowly missed a spot in the top 25.

Here is where the Big Ten landed:

Week 10 AP Poll:

  • No. 4 - Michigan
  • No. 7 - Iowa
  • No. 13 - Ohio State
  • No. 14 - Wisconsin
  • No. 19 - Illinois
  • No. 21 - Minnesota
  • Receiving Votes: Purdue

Week 10 USA Today Coaches’ Poll

  • No. 4 - Michigan
  • No. 7 - Iowa
  • No. 13 - Wisconsin
  • No. 15 - Ohio State
  • No. 20 - Minnesota
  • No. 22 - Illinois
  • Receiving Votes: Purdue, Michigan State

While it’s disappointing to see teams like Michigan State and Purdue stuck outside the top 25, there’s still a lot to like here. Four teams in the top 15 and five in the top 20 is an impressive achievement. And that’s not even to mention the two other Big Ten teams currently receiving votes. The league remains stacked.

Perhaps the most intriguing question moving forward will be how high teams like Iowa and Michigan can climb in the rankings. Michigan will be off due to a COVID-19 related shutdown, but Iowa gets Illinois this Friday. We’ll have to wait and see.
