Ilver is listed at 6-foot-8 and 195 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Western Reserve Academy in Ohio. Along with Wisconsin, he also had offers from programs including Nebraska, Utah, VCU, and Xavier among others. He is rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports and as the sixth-best player in the state.
As mentioned, Ilver joins what is really starting to look like a deep and talented next few recruiting classes for the Badgers. Wisconsin currently has the fourth-best class in the Big Ten in the 2021 recruiting class nationally per 247Sports and the program added a talented 2020 class as well. There’s little debating this could be the start of something special in Madison for the years to come.
Greg Gard and his staff likely aren’t done yet in the 2021 class, but Badger fans have to be excited about where things sit at the moment.
