Over the last few days, the Big Ten has announced a number of significant scheduling reconfigurations. These are all due to COVID-19 concerns, postponements, and teams pausing activities. We will continue to try and update this as more comes out, but here are some of the biggest highlights:
- Nebraska pauses all team activities. All games through (at least) January 16th postponed;
- Michigan State at Iowa game on January 14th postponed;
- Nebraska at Maryland on January 16th postponed;
- Iowa at Northwestern moved from January 18th to January 17th;
- Penn State at Illinois moved to January 19th;
- Purdue at Ohio State rescheduled from January 27th to January 19th;
- Rutgers at Penn State rescheduled to January 21st;
- Wisconsin at Penn State rescheduled to January 27th;
Obviously, that’s a lot of movement and it seems clear from the various press releases that there will be more to come. But in a season like this, it’s to be expected. Let’s hope everyone can stay healthy and safe.
