Earlier this week, the Maryland Terrapins got some good news as the program got another quality addition to its 2022 recruiting class in the way of guard Paul Lewis. He joins what could be an interesting class for head coach Mark Turgeon.

Lewis comes out of Arlington, Virginia and is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports. The site also lists him as a point guard and as a top 10 in-state prospect for the cycle. Lewis is listed at 6-foot-3 and 165 pounds. Along with Maryland, he had offers from Bryant, East Carolina, Georgetown, James Madison, and Old Dominion among others.
By any evaluation, this is a big pickup for Mark Turgeon and the Terps. Lewis has an interesting skillset and is really dangerous off the dribble. He can create his own opportunities or find teammates. He is the first member of Maryland’s 2022 class. And while no one can be sure how Lewis will progress once he arrives at Maryland, Terp fans should be excited about adding another talented piece to the roster.
