Earlier this month, the Iowa Hawkeyes put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Fran McCaffery and his staff decided to offer 2022 prospect Demarion Watson-Saulsberry.

Watson-Saulsberry comes out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and is rated as a three-star prospect and the sixth-best player in the state by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-6 and 175 pounds. Along with Iowa, he also currently has offers from Florida, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska among others.
Iowa currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class. But fans will hope that changes soon and that Watson-Saulsberry can be the one to do it. And with McCaffery’s recent success both on the court and on the recruiting trail, there are some real reasons to be hopeful. As of now, Watson-Saulsberry has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports, which would imply his recruitment is very much open right now.
