Illinois Fighting Illini Offer 2022 Small Forward Fray Nguimbi

Earlier this month, the Illinois Fighting Illini put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Brad Underwood and his staff decided to offer 2022 prospect Fray Nguimbi.

Nguimbi comes out of Orlando, Florida, but is originally from Brazzaville, Congo. He is currently unrated by 247Sports and listed at 6-foot-8 and 190 pounds. Along with Illinois, he also has offers from Alabama, Dayton, Samford, and Rutgers among others.

Illinois currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class and fans will certainly hope Nguimbi can be the first addition. However, we will have to wait and see as it’s still very much in the air. He currently has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports.
