Best comes out of The Bronx in New York and is currently unrated by 247Sports. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 166 pounds by Verbal Commits. Along with Illinois, he also has offers from Bryant, Hofstra, Rider, Stony Brook, St. Peter’s, and Towson among others.
Illinois currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class . However, Illinois does have some momentum after a productive 2019-’20 season and some lofty projections heading into next season. And if Best can get things rolling on the recruiting trail, perhaps Illinois could be in play for a great 2022 class. However, we will have to wait and see as it’s still very much in the air.
