Earlier this month, the Maryland Terrapins put out a key offer in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Mark Turgeon and his staff decided to offer 2024 prospect Derik Queen.
Maryland just offered 2024 @TeamThrillUAA big man Derik Queen, one of the more promising frontcourt freshman nationally. @TerrapinNation

Queen comes out of Baltimore, Maryland and is largely unrated by the national scouting services. However, he is listed at 6-foot-8 by Verbal Commits and is rated as a top 10 prospect by In The Gym Hoops. He also currently has an offer from Virginia Tech.
Maryland currently has no commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. As such, fans will hope Queen can be the first addition. We will have to see if the Terps can close the deal.
