Late last month, the Iowa Hawkeyes put out a key offer in the 2023 recruiting cycle. Fran McCaffery and his staff decided to offer 2023 prospect Jeremy Fears, Jr.
After a great conversation with Coach Fran McCaffery .. I’m excited to say I received a scholarship offer from the university of Iowa! @IowaHoops @B1GMBBall @VerbalCommits @chilandprephoop @scottybscout @ebosshoops @247Sports @michaelsobrien @coreyevans_10 pic.twitter.com/OqMjoWcola

Fears comes out of Chicago, Illinois and is currently unrated by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-1 and 165 pounds. Along with Iowa, he also currently has offers from Chicago State, Creighton, and DePaul among others.
Iowa currently has no commitments in the program’s 2023 recruiting class, but fans hope that will change soon. Perhaps Fears can be the first addition for McCaffery and staff. He currently has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports.
