Michigan added 2021 preferred walk-on Ian Burns to its squad in an early August announcement from the 6-foot-6 wing.
In Burns the Wolverines will get nice size and versatility. His 6-foot-6 frame offers a bit more size than what is typical for preferred walk-on players. The HUDL tape from Burns shows a player that has nice shooting and ball handling potential. Michigan’s offense excels at drive and kick playmaking and you can picture Burns as the set up shooter component to that offense.
Burns is the fourth member of the 2021 class. It is a group that currently ranks 8th in the country with four-star prospects Kobe Bufkin and Isaiah Barnes highlighting the haul. Michigan also remains in the running on five-star prospect Harrison Ingram.
