On Monday morning, the Michigan Wolverines got some exiting news as the program learned intriguing 2021 prospect Will Tschetter would be committing to the program. This is the second commitment for Juwan Howard in Michigan’s 2021 recruiting class.

Will is a 6'9 PF in the 2021 class that led the state of Minnesota in scoring this winter. Tschetter announced on the @tigerbbask program page this morning pic.twitter.com/m50QmxpKL7
Tschetter is listed at 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds. He comes out of Stewartville, Minnesota and is rated as the second-best player in the state, per 247Sports. Along with Michigan, Tschetter also had offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska among others. He is rated as the 149th best prospect in the 2021 recruiting class by 247Sports.
Projecting Tschetter at the next level is a tad difficult because he brings a lot to the table. He can contribute from long range, can move without the ball, and is a willing passer as well. Tschetter will probably need to work on his release and handle to succeed at a high level in college, but there are some pieces for Howard and his staff to work with moving forward. He plays a bit like former Iowa player Aaron White, just obviously much less developed at this point in his career.
As noted above, Tschetter is Michigan’s second commitment in the 2021 recruiting class. The class is currently ranked 13th nationally by 247Sports and continued Howard’s fast recruiting start since taking over in Ann Arbor. Tschetter marks the seventh top 150 pickup in Howard’s first three recruiting classes. Fans will hope that trend continues.
How Tschetter will perform in Ann Arbor is unknown, but Howard and fans have to be excited about what’s to come.
