Uthoff spent time with the Memphis Hustle (G-League affiliate for Memphis) this year where he averaged 18.9 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. Uthoff was named Midseason All-NBA G League for the Western Conference and eventually signed a 10-day contract with the Grizzlies shortly before the season shut down due to COVID-19.
The former Hawkeye has limited NBA experience since joining the league, playing in nine games during his rookie season with the Mavericks (2016-17) and an additional four games this season. In 13 games in a reserve role Uthoff has averaged 3.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game in 9.9 minutes per outing.
Washington is currently in ninth place in the Eastern Conference and the Wizards will look to see if they can make a push to sneak into the playoffs when the season gets back underway at the end of the month.
