Minnesota announced yesterday that the Gophers will be participating in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament.
The event is set to take place in Connecticut this November with Minnesota, UCF, Marquette and Rhode Island participating. Minnesota will face UCF in the first game before facing Marquette or Rhode Island in the second game of the event.
“We are looking forward to bringing our team to Mohegan Sun in November for the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off,” said head coach Richard Pitino.
Minnesota is also set to host two additional opponents that will be playing in the Springfield Bracket, with the Gophers hosting Albany on November 11 and Long Island on November 17.
The Gophers non-conference schedule also includes Mississippi State, Kent State, Green Bay and an unannounced ACC opponent in the Big Ten / ACC Challenge. Minnesota will not be participating in the 2020 Gavitt Games.
