Earlier this week, the Northwestern Wildcats got some exciting news as 2021 prospect Casey Simmons opted to commit the program. He’s the latest pickup for Chris Collins and his staff as the program looks to recover after a few rough years.

Simmons comes out of Milton, Massachusetts and is listed as 6-foot-5 and 170 pounds by 247Sports. He is rated as a four-star prospect and the top player in the state as well. Along with Northwestern, he also had offers from Boston College, Georgetown, Miami (FL), and Penn State among others.
With Simmons in the fold, Northwestern now has one of the highest rated 2021 classes anywhere in the nation. In fact, 247Sports rates the group third nationally and as the top group in the Big Ten. Those numbers will likely fade as more prospects find their landing spots, but it’s at least a great start.
Collins and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2021 class, but Wildcat fans have to be excited about bringing Simmons into the fold.
