CBS Sports recently posted a list of their top 10 transfers that will be eligible this season after sitting out the prior season.
Coming in at number six on the list is 6’9” forward Joey Hauser, who sat out the past season after transferring from Marquette. In his only season with the Golden Eagles Hauser averaged 9.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He also was a capable shooter, hitting 42.5% from three and 79.1% from the line.
Hauser will have three seasons of eligibility remaining and could be a nice fit for the Spartans heading forward. While playing time will always be contested in East Lansing, Hauser brings size and the ability to shoot from deep and would add some versatility to the Spartan frontcourt.
Hauser was a four star recruit that was ranked 52nd in the nation per 247Sports when he committed to Marquette in 2017.
