Earlier this week, the Penn State Nittany Lions got some exciting news as 2021 prospect TaQuan Woodley announced that he would be committing to the program. The exciting development comes as Pat Chambers hopes to build on last season.
2021 Camden (NJ) and @NYRhoops forward/center TaQuan Woodley has committed to Penn State, he tells me.

Woodley will bring the Nittany Lions one of the more rugged defensive/rebounding presences in his class to go with consistent finishing inside and underrated passing pic.twitter.com/jXepLAKYi9
Woodley is listed as 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Camden, New Jersey. Along with Penn State, he also had offers from programs including Rutgers, South Carolina, and Temple among others. He is currently unrated by 247Sports.
With Trent Buttrick and John Harrar set to return for the next two seasons, Woodley should arrive on campus in a decent position. He will have an opportunity to play, but should also get some time to develop before Chambers and staff need him to contribute. He is the only current member of Penn State’s 2021 recruiting class.
Chambers and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2021 class, but Nittany Lion fans have to be excited about bringing Woodley into the fold.
