Earlier this week, the Illinois Fighting Illini got some exciting news as 2021 prospect Luke Goode announced he would be committing to the program. This has to be welcome news for Illini fans after a disappointing conclusion to the season.

Goode is listed as 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is considered a top 10 prospects in the Hoosier State and a top 100 player nationally. Along with Illinois, he also has offers from programs including Butler, Iowa, and Maryland among others.
There’s little debating Goode is largely regarded for his proficiency as a shooter. He has the potential to come into Illinois and immediately provide a boost from deep. And in today’s game, that’s exciting news for fans. He’s currently the only commitment in the program’s 2021 recruiting class.
Underwood and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2021 class, but Illini fans have to be excited about bringing Goode into the fold.
