On Friday, the Associated Press announced its latest list of All-Americans for the 2019-’20 season. Its list of All-Americans is arguably the most prestigious of any publication or media entity.

The Big Ten found itself well represented with three players making the cut, including one that landed on the first team. Obviously, that speaks to the talent that fans got to watch during the course of last season in the Big Ten.

Here’s a full look at the selections below.

2019-’20 AP All-Americans:

-First Team:

  • Luka Garza (Iowa)
  • Markus Howard (Marquette)
  • Myles Powell (Seton Hall)
  • Payton Pritchard (Oregon)
  • Obi Toppin (Dayton)

-Second Team:

  • Udoka Azubuike (Kansas)
  • Vernon Carey Jr. (Duke)
  • Devon Dotson (Kansas)
  • Malachi Flynn (San Diego State)
  • Cassius Winston (Michigan State)

-Third Team:

  • Jared Butler (Baylor)
  • Tre Jones (Duke)
  • Jordan Nwora (Louisville)
  • Filip Petrusev (Gonzaga)
  • Jalen Smith (Maryland)

With the incredible stats Garza put up this season, it’s not surprising to see the Hawkeye big man make the cut for the first team. The only question was whether he would be named Player of the Year. And with the seasons Winston and Smith put up as well, it’s not surprising to see them get some credit.

If interested, you can see the full list here. Minnesota’s Daniel Oturu was listed as an honorable mention for this year’s list.
