The Big Ten released its weekly award winners for week three of the regular season and three teams ended up splitting the awards. Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu and Iowa’s Luka Garza were named Co-Big Ten Players of the Week and Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

Dosunmu and Garza had incredible performances this week. The Illini guard averaged 27.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in the team’s win over Duke and tight loss against Missouri. This is the second time he’s earned Player of the Week accolades in his career. Meanwhile, Garza put up massive numbers as well, averaging 24.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in wins over North Carolina, Iowa State, and Northern Illinois. This is the fourth time Garza has earned Player of the Week honors.

Dickinson also had a big week. The Wolverine big man came up huge in the team’s wins against Toledo and Penn State, averaging 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks. This is the second time Dickinson has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week during his career. However, it doesn’t seem like it will be the last.

Congratulations are in order for all three players. Don’t be surprised if these two show back up on this list given how they have played to date.
