Late last month, the Maryland Terrapins put out a key offer in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Mark Turgeon and his staff decided to offer 2024 prospect Brant Byers.

Byers comes out of Scotland, Pennsylvania and is largely unrated by the national scouting services. However, he is listed at 6-foot-7 and 170 pounds by 247Sports and figures to be one of the top targets in the 2024 cycle. He also has attention from programs including Boston College, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, and USC among others.
Maryland currently has no commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. However, it’s still really early to be making any serious projections that far out. And with the team’s recent success on the court, one would expect Maryland to keep things rolling on the recruiting trail. Fans will hope Byers can be the first addition. We will have to wait and see if the Terps can close the deal.
