On Wednesday, the Associated Process publicized its list of preseason All-Americans heading into the 2020-’21 college basketball season. For many, this is the most prestigious All-American list of any publication and one of the greatest honors in the sport.
The Big Ten found itself well represented with two players making the cut for the first team. Obviously, that speaks to the talent that fans got to watch during the course of last season in the Big Ten.
Here’s a full look at the selections below.
2020-’21 Associated Press Preseason All-Americans:
-First Team:
- Jared Butler (Baylor)
- Cade Cunningham (Oklahoma State)
- Ayo Dosunmu (Illinois)
- Luka Garza (Iowa)*
- Corey Kispert (Gonzaga)
- Remy Martin (Arizona State)
It’s not surprising to see Dosunmu and Garza on the list, but it is notable. Having two players that highly rated speaks volumes about the league and what’s the come this season. Garza is widely considered the best player in college basketball heading into the year and Dosunmu isn’t too far behind. It should be really fun to watch.
