Earlier this month, the Minnesota Golden Gophers put out a key offer in the 2022 recruiting cycle. Richard Pitino and his staff decided to offer 2022 prospect Ahjany Lee.

Lee comes out of Byron, Minnesota and is currently rated as a three-star prospect and the sixth-best player in the state by 247Sports. The recruiting site also lists him at 6-foot-8 and 195 pounds. Along with Iowa, he also currently has attention from Colorado State, Iowa, Kansas State, and Northern Iowa among others.

Minnesota currently has no commitments in the program’s 2022 recruiting class. As such, fans will hope that changes soon and that Lee can be the one to do it. And with such a vital season on the horizon, Pitino and staff could use some good news on the recruiting trail. As of now, Lee has no Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports, which would imply his recruitment is very much open right now.
