The Big Ten only had one game on Tuesday night with Wisconsin facing off against an overmatched Rider squad at home. The game largely went as expected with the Badgers coming out with a win.
Let’s take a look at what happened.
Game of the Night:
-Wisconsin Badgers 65, Rider Broncs 37
After Saturday’s impressive win on the road against Tennessee on Saturday, many were wondering whether the Badgers could keep that momentum going on Tuesday night. It was a particularly interesting test case as Rider came in with little acclaim. Nonetheless, Wisconsin pulled away early and never looked back, grabbing a 65-37 win.
Nate Reuvers was the key player for Wisconsin in the win, finishing with 15 points and six rebounds. The team’s defense was also really impressive. During the course of the evening, the Badgers only gave up 0.54 points per possession. It was the lowest point total for an opposing team against Wisconsin since December of 2016.
Wisconsin will now get a few days off before going on the road to face Ohio State on Friday. it figures to be an absolute battle between a nationally elite Buckeye squad and a red hot Badger team. Something’s gotta give and we’ll find out what it is on Friday.
