Earlier this week, the Ohio State Buckeyes got some exciting news as 2020 prospect Eugene Brown announced that he would be committing to the program. The exciting development comes as Chris Holtmann and the Buckeyes prepare to enter a key season in Columbus, as Holtmann and staff hope to build on the last few years.

Brown is listed as 6-foot-6 and 185 pounds by 247Sports and comes out of Decatur, Georgia. Along with Ohio State, he also had offers from programs including Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Texas A&M among others. He is rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and as the seventh-best player in the state.

Although Brown marks the program’s first commitment in the 2020 recruiting class, he figures to join a really talented roster in Columbus. Ohio State had a nice 2019 class highlighted by DJ Carton and Ibrahima Diallo. Expect some big things from the program with that group over the next few years.

Holtmann and his staff still have their work cut out for the 2020 class, but Buckeye fans have to be excited about bringing Brown into the fold.
